We thought you might like to know…
Yes! We can play outside events with a few caveats: for the safety of our musicians and equipment, we can’t play outdoors if it’s under 50℉, and anything under 70℉ requires the use of industrial space heaters. In the event of rain (including drizzle), our band must be either completely sheltered or have an indoor Plan B. For summer and warm weather events, musicians must be able to perform in a shaded area, either in natural shade or a canopy/tent.
Absolutely! That’s exactly what we were born to do.
We suggest working backwards from your event end time. If your event ends at 11pm, then our first set should begin at 8pm. Each hour (with the exception of the final hour) includes 45 minutes of music and a 15-minute break. Specific timing requests that you and your producer have determined (like entrances, first dances, speeches, cake cutting, etc.) will be communicated to the band and integrated into your master timeline.
We work with some of the best sound engineers in town and are definitely able to provide sound equipment for an additional cost.
For receptions, we do request that a vendor meal be provided to our musicians and sound engineer during one of their set breaks.
We don’t provide a stage, and although a stage can be a nice touch, it’s not required. We just need a flat, dry surface close to the power sources required by our engineers. If you do want to source a stage through another vendor, it should be roughly 8×12 feet for a 3-4 piece band, 12×16 for a 5-8 piece, and 12×24 for a 9-14 piece. Ask your producer if you still aren’t sure.
We do not prorate fees for events that are shorter than the quoted time. The moment we book our musicians for an event, they’re committing to the full scope, which includes timing beyond just the event – travel, set up, performance, and tear-down.
Look, we have nothing but love for certain songs often played at weddings. PureSoul just happens to offer a different kind of experience for people who get our vibe. We’re happy to work with you to make sure your favorite songs are represented, but our setlists are curated to focus on the music we know, love, and *cook* with.
